1. What the System for the Integrated Measurement and Improvement of Productivity (SYMAPRO) is?

SYMAPRO is a learning system in the organizations aimed at attaining the objectives of the area and of the organization, which have been previously agreed upon by involved persons.  

2. How is learning defined in SYMAPRO?

It is defined as the creation of meanings as from past or present events that are useful for the behaviour in the future.    

3. How is productivity defined in SYMAPRO?

It is defined and measured as effectiveness, i.e. the efficient result of the objectives established by the organization within a determined period.  

4. Which is the link between productivity and training in SYMAPRO?

It allows linking productivity in organizations with a systematic review of the labour competence of the staff, who actively participate in identifying and overcoming obstacles in production processes.

In practice, training activities occur throughout the different components, as an example:

  • Measurements can be made jointly between the supervisor and one or two members of the team.  The very act of measuring and passing the results to the data processing system, are training instances.
  • Scheduling feedback meetings allows planning of training capsules in terms of the competencies to develop.
