Cinterfor coordinates a knowledge management network of institutions and organizations related to these issues from Latin America, the Caribbean, Spain, Portugal y Cape Verde.
Fulfilling the transformative potential of vocational training.
- It works together with the member institutions network, articulating with the Skills and Employability Branch (SKILLS) of the ILO and the Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean together with the ILO national offices in the region.
The network is made up of constituent and associated institutions. The constituents are those of a national level and mostly public and with tripartite councils or directors boards. The associates are characterized by being mostly privately managed, although there are also public ones, but in this case, they are limited at the level of coverage, for example: in a state or province; also in this category there are some sectoral organizations.
- Technical assistance: meeting specific needs and demands, or within the framework of cooperation programmes with members.
- Horizontal technical cooperation: transfer of capacities between two or more institutions, under the coordination and quality assurance of ILO/Cinterfor.
- Practical research for decision-making on vocational training.
- Knowledge exchange: through workshops, technical meetings and seminars; national, sectoral, subregional, regional or international level.
- Knowledge dissemination: through publications and the knowledge management platform (www.oitcinterfor.org).
