We launch a year of celebration!
With great enthusiasm, we begin this year 2023 in which ILO/Cinterfor commemorates the 60th anniversary of its creation and that of this significant network that we make up.
Throughout these six decades, this community has grown and its actions have expanded to respond with quality and relevance to the needs and demands of people and the world of work. Our network is powerful. Being a member of ILO/Cinterfor is being part of a community of institutions that offers training and education to more than 15 million people each year, promoting job opportunities for young people and retraining or upgrading skills for adults, within the framework of lifelong learning.
It is a community that drives innovation, promotes social and economic inclusion, strengthens productivity and competitiveness of the productive structure in its countries and contributes to post-pandemic recovery.
It is also an honor to announce that this year the 46th Technical Committee Meeting will take place from October 4 to 6 in Punta Cana, sponsored by the Technical Vocational Training Institute (INFOTEP) and the Ministry of Labor of the Dominican Republic, an event that will be hybrid taking advantage of the potential of virtuality as a strategy to reach more people and institutions. In this context, we will address the advances, trends and main challenges that the future holds in terms of vocational training and we will have the opportunity to celebrate together these 60 years of ILO/Cinterfor's trajectory.
Throughout the year and in line with our strategic action plan, various activities will also be developed that will be announced in due course, with a firm focus on strengthening our IFP community.
We look forward to continuing to count on your support.
Best regards,
Anne Caroline Posthuma
Director ILO/Cinterfor
