Videoconference: "First reflections on the new ILO Recommendation on apprenticeships".
A tripartite meeting was held on Friday 14 July to discuss the implications of the new recommendation adopted at the 111th International Labour Conference (ILC) on apprenticeships. The aim of the recommendation is to "support opportunities for people of all ages to become skilled, reskilled and continuously up-skilled" in rapidly changing labour markets. It provides a clear definition of apprenticeship and specifies the aspirational standards for quality apprenticeships, including the rights and protection of apprentices (more information here).
On this occasion, participants included:

Gustavo Gándara - Executive Director UOCRA as Workers' representative
