Descripción: 

The induction training programme for youngsters –PIPM - initiated activities in 1987.

The Community-Based Vocational training programme-PCFP- arises from the PIPM in 1989.

The two programmes were organized in modules of 80 to 120 hours with an average duration of three to four months that were developed exclusively in daytime in the case of the PIPM, and day and night-time in the case of PCFP.

They are introductory training courses aimed to provide basic knowledge  essential to the profession and also spark interest in youth work. When the associate entity considered  - in most cases - students received financial support for transportation and food.

SENAI-SP worked in partnership with public and private socio-educational entities, from the public or private sector, such as civil society organizations, religious groups, trade unions, private or municipal governments.

SENAI was in charge of the technical assistance for the implementation, organization and operation of courses, training the trainers, provided the model of teaching materials, supervised and guided activities in technical, administrative and certified educational programmes.



The partner entities administered and managed the programmes implementation.

Factores clave: 

Interagency coordination: agreements were signed between SENAI, municipalities, community groups and organizations and SESI.

Evaluación: 

In 2008, 88% of partner institutions followed ​​up the employability of the graduates. Over 90% of students indicate a high satisfaction rate.

Resultados: 

The number of agreements increased every year. In 2007, 72,886 students benefited, in 2008 82,886. 59% were male and 41% female.
