International Conference of the Alliance for Dual Training in Latin America and the Caribbean
The International Conference "Innovative Perspectives: New Approaches for a Quality Future in Dual Training" is taking place in the Dominican Republic from the 26th to the 28th.
The Alliance for Dual Training in Latin America and the Caribbean was created in 2021. Originally, the aim was to establish a network of technical and vocational training institutions in the region that could share experiences and good practices in dual training. The pro-tempore presidency is held by INFOTEP and the technical secretariat by ILO/Cinterfor.
The event is organised by INFOTEP, with the support of the German Federal Institute for Vocational Training and ILO/Cinterfor.
Six lectures and four panels will be held over three days. The following lectures will be given: "ILO Recommendation 208 on quality apprenticeship", "Quality of dual training", "Models to facilitate the participation of enterprises in dual training", "The role of intermediary organisations in dual training systems", "Training in partnerships" and "The model of a focal point for external management".
The panels will address the topics: social dialogue, quality and participation in dual training, curriculum development for dual training, teacher training in the training centre and monitoring, as well as experiences and good practices in the implementation of the dual training programme in the Dominican Republic.
The Conference will be broadcast via INFOTEP's YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@infoteprdo, on 26 and 27 June.
