Good business practices in quality learning management in Latin America
This study, the product of a collaboration between ILO/Cinterfor (Inter-American Center for Knowledge Development in Vocational Training of the International Labor Organization), BIBB (Federal Institute for Vocational Training) of Germany and the European Union's Eurosocial program, aims to assist countries in the development of policies to improve the school-to-work transition, the role of companies in this type of policies and the contribution of regional or international organizations specializing in employment, youth and vocational training.
The study is aimed at decision-makers in the Ministries of Education, Labor, TVET institutions, career designers, entrepreneurs, unions, scientists, and technical teams from other institutions linked to vocational training and employment, under the conviction that alternating learning - in education and the workplace - is a modality that benefits young people, companies, countries and society in general.
This is a comparative research on the general theme of the participation and role of the entrepreneurial actor in quality learning programs and experiences. In the context of this collaboration agreement, five national studies on entrepreneurial experiences with quality learning were carried out in Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico and Peru. The main results and recommendations are summarized in this report.
This work raises several conclusions and recommendations, but also some questions that are expected to be the beginning of new inquiries and dialogue in the field of TVET. The ultimate goal is to provide solutions to improve the quality of education, vocational training and employment of Latin American youth.
