Labor mediation for young people. Articulation DINAE (Employment National Direction of the Ministry of Labor) and INJU (Young People National Institute) - Uruguay
Labor mediation for young people in Montevideo.
- Young people between 18 and 29 years.
- Public or private enterprises.
This experience is in an early stage. It combines the experiences of DINAE on job placement and that of INJU on working with young people, strengthening the process leading to the generation of employment opportunities for young people contemplating the needs of enterprises, the production context and the job orientation and training of young people.
It offers companies pre-selection of young people based on the job profile, integrating the databases of both institutions. It also provides the possibility of making use of Objective Employment Program grants in case of recruitment of young people. It provides support and monitoring.
The experience is based on the action of CEPES, territorial units that link supply and labour demand.
Among the services offered at the CEPES are:
- Labor market information.
- Career Counseling in individual instances and in workshop mode.
- Pre-selection of personnel according to occupational profile requested and agreed with the company.
- Support and promotion to productive undertakings.
- Interagency coordination.
- Generation of specific opportunities for young people, taking into account the needs of the labor market.
- Contact and visit companies, focusing on the specific characteristics of the youth population.
The experience is at an early stage, no impact assessments have been carried out so far.
