Initial training program: business-centre mode. INSAFORP. El Salvador
Facilitate the employability of economically disadvantaged young people through vocational training at centers and complemented with actions in workplaces.
Young people aged 18 to 25 years old:
• With elementary, high school or basic plan, without resources for further study.
• Unemployed and underemployed.
• Students with training needs for employment or self-employment integration.
• Women heads of households, single mothers.
• Groups at social risk.
This program consists of a comprehensive and complete training based on the combination of theory, which takes place in a training center (20-30% of training) and practice that takes place in a participating company (70-80% percent of the program).
Training activities last between 6 and 30 months.
There is a shared commitment between the company where the participant is trained, the training center where the theoretical training is developed and INSAFORP, which encourages, directs and coordinates the development of the program.
The areas in which training is provided are: industrial mechanics, electricity, electronics, mechatronics, automotive mechanics, civil engineering and construction, garment industry, basic and applied computer science, graphic design, development of cleaning products, handcrafts, food technology , tourism and gastronomy, aesthetics and beauty, sales, administration and English.
