Cinterfor is launching a new course on Project-Based Training.
Yesterday, on Thursday, April 27th, a new course on "Project-Based Training" began with the participation of 14 institutions and 37 students from 10 different countries in the region. The course will last for 10 weeks and will be facilitated by Rodrigo Filgueira, a specialist in vocational training from OIT/Cinterfor, and Carmen Chude, a consultant in human development projects and cultural transformation in public, private, and third sector organizations.
The course aims to develop competencies that enable training organizations and entities to respond to complex, changing, and participant-centered demands. To achieve this, efficient teamwork will be organized, communication with the context will be emphasized, and responses tailored to available resources will be designed, implemented, and evaluated based on a clear analysis of the context.
The course will also address cross-cutting elements applicable to various occupations and professional roles, such as communication, collaboration, critical analysis, creativity, and complex problem-solving. By providing comprehensive training in these competencies, the course aims to leverage the productivity and employment potential offered by the world of work in this context.
In addition, Cinterfor has developed a guide for project-based training that will serve as the backbone of the course. The document includes the conceptual framework of the proposal, sections dedicated to the work of trainers, and a sheet for each stage of the model, including objectives, activities, competencies, elements of the competency that can be addressed, and stage outcomes. It also provides a list of facilitation dynamics to be used in activity design.
