Competency-based human resources management: designing an integrated reward system

Updating and strengthening competencies becomes an integral part of the company strategy, directly related to the budget, planning, innovation, organisation of work, talent management, CSR, performance management, training and recruitment.
Organisations aware of the importance of valuing the "capital" they have in their staff, in view of the strategic role they may play in operational effectiveness, are currently undergoing a paradigm shift and are adopting a new human resources management policy, influenced by the changing nature of the organisation’s mission, its overall strategy and one based on competences. This approach is the reason the ILO created a competencybased HRM model, of which this training is a part.
The general objective is to design an integrated and dynamic competency-based reward system that meets organisational objectives in a complex context and addresses the ILO’s principles of Decent Work.
